What is LiveUser?

LiveUser is a set of classes written in PHP for dealing with user authentication and permission management. For a full description go here. The most comprehensive cohesive documentation on LiveUser and LiveUser_Admin can be found here.

  • A new release for both the LiveUser client package and the LiveUser_Admin package.
• February 27th, 2006
  • We made two releases on the client package. One fixed a security issue and the following one an issue with the right reading for the Medium container and up. See the changelogs for details

  • Totally forgot to mention that we made new releases a few days ago. Mostly bug fixing but also some API cleanups (aka BC breaks).

  • More bugfixes. Nothing all to critical.

  • More bugfix releases. Most important is the 0.3.4 release of the admin API that fixes some nasty bugs.

  • As promised we have released 0.16.5 and 0.3.3 respectively. There was a security issue in the last few 0.16.x releases that is fixed in the 0.16.5 release. Check the changelog for details.

  • Another client bug fix release was made. Expect another one shortly in conjunction with an admin bugfix release.
• August 9th, 2005
  • We had to do another bug fix release. This one breaks BC in the getProperty(). The keys for all user related daata are now all lowercase with underscores instead of lower bumby camel

  • Another round of bugfix releases. Among other little issues these releases address the notices introduced by PHP 4.4

  • a minor bug fix release for the client was just released.
• June 21st, 2005
  • we just released 0.16.0 of the LiveUser package and 0.3.0 of the LiveUser_Admin package. There was a BC break in the authentication container configuration and administration. There were also some changes in the init() and login() method inside the client that led to small BC breaks.
  • we will now begin work on what is to be expected the last releases in the beta series that will focus on improving the caching. Only minor BC breaks are expected from this point on forward. See the following post for details.
